After an early morning pickup, we set off on our coastal adventure,
ready for good food, fresh air, and plenty of photo ops.
Out first stop was the Gangneung Danoje Festival,
a vibrant celebration of the Korean holiday Dano!
We wandered through rows of booths, some showcasing beautiful handcrafted
goods like fans and pottery, while others were selling trendy accessories and souvenirs.
After soaking in the energy of Danoje,
we headed toward the sea for a walk along Bada Buchae Gil,
a scenic coastal path with sweeping views that opened up like folds in a paper fan.
Next, we made our way to Gyeongpo Beach,
where we had time to relax, stretch out on the sand, or explore the nearby cafés.
The beach was wide and breezy,
with families playing in the surf and friends snapping photos with the sea behind them.
With the sun dipping lower in the sky, it was time to head back toward Seoul.
After a full day of culture, coastline, and comfort food, we returned to Seoul
tired, happy, and full of memories.
Our Gangneung getaway was short but packed with beauty, fun, and fresh air!
